NIFT, NIFT Campus Rajiv Gandhi Salai, (Old Mahabalipuram Road) Taramani – Post Chennai – 600 113 NIFT Chennai s located on the IT corridor closer to Tidal Park the renowned first IT Park of Chennai and immediately next to STPI building.
Nearest Airport: Chennai Airport Nearest Railway Stations: Cennai Central Railway Station Main Highways: NH4, NH7, NH17 Taramani is situated 22 km from the Central Railway Station and 20 KM from the Airport. From central railway station, one can use the State Transport Corporation buses(bus no. 5C) and the local rail (MRTS facility) which connects from Park Station to Tiruvanmiyur station. It is a walk able distance from Tiruvanmiyur Station to NIFT.

The B.F.Tech courses offered by NIFT is of four years duration and MFM course is of two years and are at par with other B.E /B Tech /M Tech courses. The degree offered is highly recognizable and one can also pursue further higher studies in India and abroad after graduating from NIFT.
NIFT is statutory body under the NIFT Act 2006.NIFT is empowered to award degrees and other academic distinctions.
Hostel is available for girl_students only. Room is on sharing basis with attached mess. Cot, Table, Chair, Almirah will be provided by NIFT. Security guard is available for 24 hours. Fee structure for Girls Hostel&"bsp=
Hostel fees shall be paid in full. The payment of Fees to be deposited in the form of Demand Draft in favour of NIFT, Chennai, payable at Chennai For Boy Students NIFT, Chennai will facilitate to find hostel facilities for boy students.&nxs&; PnG. nccommodation are available nearby the Institute and the details of which will be provided at the time of orientation programme and can be obtained from the academics section.
With the large number of emerging IT companies cropping up in Chennai ,there has been a large influx of North Indians working here in Chennai , with special mention to IT Park near NIFT Campus ,due to which there is an exorbitant increase of North Indian Restaurants /Dhaba in Chennai . Moreover most of the Chennai localities do understand Hindi or English and can well converse with any north Indian having problem in speaking Tamil. Further even within NIFT Chennai, the campus canteen provides both north Indian and south Indian food around the day.
10. I am currently doing my 12th exam. Am I eligible to sit for the NIFT entrance exam this year? Yes! You can send in your filled in application form ( which will be available by November to December ) and sit for the entrance exam in March. Eligibility is 12th pass only. Design group – any group in plus two. Technology – Physics, chemistry with maths in plus two.
