FASHION ENTREPRENEURSHIP (FASE)

NIFT offers the post graduate diploma programme in Fashion Entrepreneurship an eighteen month programme designed to provide expertise to owners, entrepreneurs, middle and senior level business managers and decision makers in the fashion industry. It aims to build a strong professional foundation of technical and managerial ability for effective decision making. The highlights of the programme include global exposure with international visits, inputs from leading experts of the industry and academia, nationally and internationally.

The programme is offered at NIFT, New Delhi. It is of 18 months duration divided into three semesters. The programme consists of a final internship in last semester, the successful completion of which will lead to a diploma in ‘Fashion Entrepreneurship’.

The programme is benchmarked with international standards and includes inputs from foreign experts. The programme includes an international visit for the students in the final semester to understand best global practices in various areas of the fashion industry.

ELIGIBILITY

  • A three years Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities
  • For Foreign Bachelor’s Degree, not recognized by the Association of Indian Universities, proper certification by a National Body constituted in the country concerned for granting equivalence will have to be produced.
  • A three year undergraduate Diploma from NIFT only.

FEE STRUCTURE
(a) At the time of admission

Tuition Fees Rs.1,50,000/- (non-refundable)
Security Deposit Rs. 5,000/- (refundable)
Library Fee Rs. 2,500/- (non-refundable)
Insurance Premium Rs. 500/- (one time) (-do-)
Total Rs.1,58,000/-

(b) Fee for Second Semester
Tuition Fee Rs.1.5 lakh (non-refundable)

(c)The cost of International visit/internship shall be borne by the student directly.

ADMISSION CALENDAR

Issue of Application Form / Brochure 23rd September 2009
Last Date of Submission of Application Form 26th October 2009
Entrance Examination/Personal Interview 3rd November 2009
Announcement of Final Results 4th November 2009
Commencement of Programme 9th November 2009

ADMISSION TEST

All the eligible candidates will have to appear for a written examination followed by personal interview at NIFT New Delhi. The written exam and interview shall be conducted to test the knowledge, skill and aptitude of the candidates for the programme.

HOW TO APPLY

Admission forms are available at Admission Department, NIFT Campus, New Delhi or can be downloaded from NIFT website www.nift.ac.in

Admission Form complete in all respect should be submitted only at Admission Department (H.O) on or before 26th October 2009 by post under registered cover superscribed 'Admission Forms for 'PG Diploma in Fashion Entrepreneurship' or by hand along with a Demand Draft of Rs. 1800/- drawn in favour of NIFT payable at New Delhi to:
