NIFT Bengaluru understands the value of “learning by doing” – which encourages us to invest in workshops involving the industry. Students gain to orient their skills towards industry requirements through such workshops and seminars. Over the last academic year, NIFT Bengaluru has witnessed key workshops like,

Seminars and conferences provide room for brainstorming and generation of ideas. We at NIFT bengaluru believe these to be a medium of healthy exchange between students and the intellegencia. Some of the seminars and conferences we have witnessed are

A one day seminar by Aditya Birla Nuova Ltd on “Versatility of Viscose filament yarn fabrics in fashion” was arranged at the campus for the benefit of Industry as well as students.
An international conference on “Technical textiles in apparel sector” organized and around 30 papers were presented by the researchers, industrialist and academicians from India and Abroad.
A technical seminar was arranged by the department of fashion technology for the industry people and NIFT students with key industry players like Groz-beckert, Gutermann and Vilene presented their technical innovations.
Smt. Shashi Singh, IAS, Joint Textile Commissioner (E), Mumbai, gave a seminar on the “Textile Up gradation Fund Scheme” to the Industry participants at NIFT campus.
