Membership of the Resource Centre (RC) is open to industry professionals, self-employed, outstation members and other educational institutions besides the students and the faculty of NIFT. Membership of RC enables a member to refer to the print and non-print collections of audio-visual and other materials.

| The application of the firm should be signed by an authorized signatory of the firm with seal of the office. Minimum two borrowers’ cards with two access cards will be issued to the firm only. The cards are transferable. Security deposit of Rs.10,000.00 can be utilized for five borrowers’ cards only. For additional cards the firm will pay additional fees. All dealings will be with the authorized signatory of the firm only. The firm will be responsible for all borrowed items. |

For refund of security deposit you can download the form or collect it from the RC Circulation Counter. If a member fails to return an overdue book within 180 days from the due date, three times the cost of the borrowed book and overdue fines will be deducted from the security deposit.
APPLICATION FOR MEMBERSHIP (download)
Mode of payment
Payment of fees only in cash or demand draft drawn in favor of NIFT. A member, except a corporate member, will submit two passport size photographs (three photographs, if the member opts for transferable forecast membership) along with duly filled application form and bank receipt. No photographs are required for corporate membership. One access card will be issued to every member that he/she is required to carry whenever he/she visits RC. Members who pay for borrowing facilities will also get bar-coded borrowers’ cards. Forecast cards will be issued to all those who opt for forecast services.

Loss of Book (s)
In case of loss of a book, the member will either replace the same title (same or latest edition) or pay three times the cost of the book lost. Lost or damaged books must be paid for before other book(s) can be issued.
Penalty for pilferage
If any member is caught carrying any unissued material out of RC, he/she will pay a fine of Rs.2500.00. The member will be debarred from entering the RC for six months only. |
