Knitwear Design and Technology

The specialization of Knitwear Design is structured keeping  in view the requirements of the Indian knitting Industry. The dual emphasis on design and technology is aimed at up gradation of the existing industry to the international standards through knitwear professionals. The Knitwear Design specialization requires the students to work on state-of-the-art equipment like computerized flat bed knitting machines such as Shima Seiki and Stoll. The students are also exposed to the techniques and variations in the circular and flat knitting manufacturing techniques, possible structure developments, processing and garmenting.
