The Fashion & Textiles discipline offers broad-spectrum education in textiles., which develops creativity, originality and design application in apparel and home fashion industries to enable access to a wide range of career opportunities. 

         The textile subjects of knits covens and prints are complementary and together give a richer and more versatile educationally programme builds upon the integration of creative forces of design with textile technology but also keeps in mind the broad historical, social and cultural contexts in which the designers work today. The programme offers a choice between Textile Design and Knitwear Design in the second year depending on the availability of the specialization at the NIFT study centres.
