"Present Industry Scenario"

            The Indian garment industry continue to face the grim of reality of continued loss due to compelled cut in production caused by the unending woes of slowdown of the local and global markets, uncompetitive production costs, rising input costs and high power cost etc.

                In this context, it is very important to address the graduating students by eminent persons to highlight the current trend as a result of the slowdown in the world economy and the possible future prospects in the apparel industry.

             About 150 will be graduating this year from NIFT Chennai. It is proposed to organise a seminar to deliver a special talk on " Present Industry Scenario" to the graduating students on
