The Department of Fashion Technology, NIFT Gandhinagar hosted its annual Graduation Project Showcase Event "Technova" aimed at bringing to light the technological innovations, developments in field of merchandise and work-aids and strategic path breaking solutions generated by its final year students on 21st May 2011. In a daylong event 32 graduating students presented their research projects in front of panel comprising of a host of highly placed experts from different facets of Garment Industry. The Guest of Honor for the event were Mr. Jay Lakhani, Mr. Rajesh Bheda and Mr. Amit Mittal.

Mr. Arpit Gupta and Ms. Jinal Shah won the “The Most Commercially Viable” award for their project on “Use of Daylight in Garment Factory for Illumination”  Both the “Best Graduation Project” and “The Most Innovative Project” are awarded to students Surabhi Taneja and Satendra Prasad Burnwal for their project “Automation for Shirting Operations” The showcase truly captured the potential of the B.F.Tech students of NIFT, gandhinagar as they presented their innovative projects.
