Amit Shrivastava alumni of NIFT Gandhinagar, born in 1986 at Guna,small town in M.P., completed his basic education from Gwalior, and join NIFT for dream course fashion design in 2007 and graduated in year 2010 . He was always fascinated by clothes; clothes inspired him to become a fashion designer. He had decided to become a fashion designer when he was in 11th standard. NIFT gave him the direction and shape for his raw ideas, and improvise his skills in commercial designing.

Participating in various design competitions was his passion. He got selected as a star entry in photography in International talent support (Italy)‐2009. In 2010 he was selected as a finalist in Let's design and Wills debut (design competition). In 2010‐11 he had suggested a slogan to Diesel India for their "Delhi democratic party"...."Stupidity in Dilly city"...and it was selected as best slogan by Diesel.

This year, he has become the first Indian winner of Levi's Mittelmoda award in Italy. Mittelmoda the fashion Award is a design contest organised by Mittelmoda International Lab with the support of Friuli Venezia Giulia Region and Camera della Moda Italiana –Italian Board of Fashion and Sistema Moda Italia to give young designers visibility and promote themselves.

Currently Amit is working as a Menswear designer, with a vision to give a new direction to men's clothing.

He has been mentored by Mr. Vishal Gupta, Associate Professor, NIFT –Gandhinagar for this project.
