International Linkages

NIFT has evolved as a Centre of Excellence imparting multidisciplinary and pragmatic education to its students. With a vision to have a strong global connect, NIFT has entered into collaborations with leading fashion institutes and organisations across the globe. NIFT has signed MOUs with reputed institutes/ universities like Queensland University of Technology, Australia; De Montfort University, UK; Swiss Textile College, Switzerland; Mod Art International, France; ENSAIT, France; NABA, Italy; School of Art & Design, University of Wolverhampton, UK; The State University of New York College at Buffalo, USA; Academy of Arts, USA; Manchester Metropolitan University, UK; ESMOD, Germany; Saxion University of Arts, Netherlands; Royal Academy of Arts, Netherlands; Bunka Fashion College, Japan; Donghua University, China; Fashion Design Institute, Mauritius; BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology (BUFT), Bangladesh; Ecole Duperre, France; University of Northampton, England; Politecnico di Milano, Italy.

NIFT’s strategic alliances allow its students to undertake the Twinning (study abroad) opportunity in the leading international fashion institutes. The study abroad opportunity can be undertaken by the students of different disciplines across NIFT Centers in Semester III and IV of the Master Programmes and Semester VI and VII of Bachelor Programmes. To provide an academic gradient, NIFT’s international linkages allow the students to participate in international competitions/seminars/research forums/ exhibitions et al.

To facilitate exchange of teaching pedagogy, concepts, and professional ideas, the faculty at NIFT participates in academic exchange programmes, international fairs, seminars, exhibitions, conferences and trade shows thereby bringing their substantial experience to the classroom and thus enriching the knowledge pool at NIFT.

Academic exchange opportunities for NIFT students
NIFT has undertaken a major exercise in global benchmarking, in the process of which its curriculum has been restructured to accommodate Twinning/exchange opportunities for students. NIFT is facilitating academic exchange options for students of VI & VII semester - UG and III & IV semester - PG. 

Academic exchange opportunities for International students
International students can participate in the exchange programme at NIFT through one or a combination of the following options:
