NIFT has benchmarked fashion education in India in the last 25 years. NIFT has considered the realities of Indian education scene and has become a role model for other educational Institutions, providing equal oppurtunities to the 'Youth' from all strata of the society. NIFT Placement Cell facilitates on campus placements for graduation students of NIFT to enable them to start their careers in challenging positions. Leading national and international apparel companies vie with each other to recruit NIFT professionals. The star employers of NIFT professionals in the past from domestic companies have been Blackberrys, Globus, Pantaloon, Proline, S.Kumar's Titan, Carbon, Mundra Garments and many others. Leading buying offices like Gap, Li & Fung, Tommy Hilfiger, Triburg, Colby, Impulse-Next, etc. have been regularly offering key decision making positions to our graduating students. The portfolios of the companies attending placements have expanded substantially with diverse segments of industry like large retailers, brand marketers, manufacturers, consultancy organizations, textile mills, home furnishing companies, design BPOS, technology solution providers, and large apparel manufacturing companies along with international brands visiting the campus absorb the Institute's talented graduates to meet their specialized needs. For NIFT placements 2012, we have set a noble aim of " One- Student-One-career". We present 477 students from PG (Design Management & Technology), 1052 from UG Design Fashion Communication, Fashion Desgin, Knitwear Design & Textile Design) and 190 from UG (Fashion Technology) to the Industry.
