Dr Anupam Saxena is an Associate Professor of Textile Design and specializes in Craft research and Visual studies. She teaches undergraduate courses and leads research in ethnography and traditional crafts of India. She joined the National Institute of Fashion Technology, Bhopal in 2009. She previously served as Faculty of Fine Arts at various reputed institutions from 1998 to 2009. She qualified for UGC/NET-JRF. She received her PhD from Barkatullah University, Bhopal in the year 1999. Area of Teaching and Research includes Indian Traditional Crafts, Design Process, Design Research, Art History, Visual Arts, Print, and Ethnography.

She has several publications and Book Chapter in the area of Design, Design education, and art history in National and International journals indexed in SCOPUS, EBSCO, Index Copernicus, Ulrich’s Periodicals Directory, etc. She has contributed to many projects sponsored by the State Govt. and DC Handicraft & Handloom Department, Madhya Pradesh. She has been handling the additional post of Cluster Initiative Coordinator (CIC) at the campus. Currently, she is shouldering the responsibility of Link Campus Academic Coordinator.
