The Campus
NIFT Patna campus started formally on the 28th of July 2008. It is situated
on the second floor of the prestigious Udyog Bhavan. The floor is around
15000 sq. feet.
The magnificent Gandhi Maidan provides the much needed ambience and
space for this academic institution
Lively and vibrant campuses are complemented with
facilities that equal the best in the world at NIFT. The campus has fully
equipped lecture rooms, design studios and, resource centers, activity
centre and hostels. The education structure emphasizes hands-on
experience through practical set-ups and state-of-the-art technology.
‘Design Studios
The design studios on campus offer ample opportunity to students to
experiment and innovate, while the laboratories provide hi-technology work
areas covering real-time aspects of the industry. These studios are in the
process of being set up.
High Quality Lecture Rooms
Well-equipped classrooms use advanced teaching methodology, designed for
highly interactive sessions.
IT Savvy Education
The success of fashion professionals rests on their ability to integrate
Fashion and Information Technology in a meaningful way. IT support is a
critical feature at all NIFT centres and the computer labs are equipped with
state-of-the-art hardware and software.
Resource Centre
The National Resource Centre at New Delhi and the Resource Centre at each
NIFT centre are pillars of information and knowledge management. Each
Resource Centre has an integrated collection of print, visual and creative
material resources: the only systematically documented source of information
available in India for study of international and contemporary Indian
fashion. The Resource Centres also provide information services to the
design community, industry practitioners and entrepreneurs.
Girls Hostel
Girl students are accommodated in the building flats leased out by NIFT.
The Hostel is situated 5 kms from the campus. The hostels are equipped
with all Godrej furniture and fixtures. Each Hostler is provided with the bed, mattresses, study table, chair, almirah, etc. It has a
Common room, pantry, medical room, 24 hours hot/cold-water facilities. Lady warden, Doctor on call and
24 hours duty by SIS security are provided. The hostel has recreation room with Dish TV and indoor games. Badminton, Volleyball and
Table Tennis, etc. are provided.
The NIFT Bus provides transportation facility to and fro campus with
adequate frequency, on all days.
Boys Hostel
Boys are accommodated in the building flats leased out by NIFT. The
Hostel is situated 5 kms from the campus. The hostels are equipped with

Guest house facility
One of the flats in the hostel premises is converted to Guest House
where the members of NIFT, can be housed during their official tours.
Transportation
A 52-seator bus is hired on annual rate contract to provide round the
clock, all days including holidays – transportation facilities to the
students. For field trips, industry visits, etc. the bus facility is also provided.
Canteen / Mess
A canteen / mess on the campus provide food to all the students. On
payment of semester’s mess fees, students are provided breakfast, lunch,
and dinner on all the days – including holidays.
Internet
Internet facility is provided in the resource center for the students
and is functional with the timings of the Resource Center
Sports & Recreation
NIFT-Patna encourages students to participate is inter college fest and at
the same time organise activities through its various clubs . Club activities, namely, cultural; sports and adventure; photography; literary; environment and social club activities are regular features. Annual cultural festival – Spectrum and participation in all NIFT Centres sports and cultural festival are also encouraged.
