Course Content

The programme conducted by Fashion and Apparel Dept. is tailor made for garment industry professionals form the areas of apparel design, construction and technology. The curriculum of the course has been specially designed with a view to help aspirants who would like to join the fashion industry as well as for those who are already working in the industry.

The curriculum is structured in an endeavor to instill practical problem solving ability within the students. The primary subjects are pattern development and draping, technical garment art, textile appreciation and garment construction. Students also get inputs in marketing and merchandising, and production planning and control.

The programme targets to upgrade the skills of professionals working in the garment industry. The course prepares candidates to get absorbed in the industry in the areas of sampling, merchandising, quality control and production.
