Ms. Suruchi Banerjee Dhasmana is an Assistant Professor in the Fashion Communication Department at NIFT, Mumbai. She earned a Master’s degree in Fashion Design from Nottingham Trent University, U.K., after graduating from NIFT, Delhi, in 2003. Specializing in apparel design, UI/UX, and technology-enhanced pedagogy, she brings extensive overall professional and academic experience. Previously, she designed apparel for prominent Indian domestic brands as well as European and American commercial export markets.

Dr. Akanksha Nautiyal is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Textile Design at NIFT Mumbai. She is a textile academic and researcher with over seven years of teaching and research experience, working at the intersection of design, science, and sustainability. Her expertise spans textile processing, innovative textiles, world textiles, and sustainable textile systems, integrating scientific research with design innovation. She earned her Ph.D.

Yashwant Misale is an Assistant Professor with the Department of Fashion Management Studies. He holds a degree in Textile Engineering and a Master of Management Studies (MMS) in Marketing from Mumbai University, and has qualified the UGC-NET and SET examinations.

Dr. Sonali Roshan Saldanha is an Associate Professor in the Department of Fashion Management Studies at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Mumbai. A doctorate in Management, her passion for teaching led her to join NIFT in 1998, where she has contributed for over 28 years in diverse academic and administrative capacities.

Dr. Reena Aggarwal is an Associate Professor in the Department of Textile Design at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Mumbai, with over 25 years of academic and research experience. She specializes in Traditional textiles, Crafts of India, Sustainable textiles, Natural dyes, Textile printing, Surface embellishment, Textile finishes, Textile testing, and textile science. She holds a Ph.D. in Textile Science from Banasthali University and joined NIFT Mumbai in 2008 after teaching at Banasthali University, Lady Irwin College (University of Delhi), and IMS Noida.

Kumar Sudeepta is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Fashion and Lifestyle Accessories at NIFT Mumbai. He holds a Bachelor of Design in Accessory Design and a Master of Design in Mobility and Vehicle Design. His expertise lies in consumer-centric product and mobility design, with experience across lifestyle products and spaces, automotive interiors, accessory design, and mobility design.

Dhanraj Sopan Survase is an Associate Professor in the Department of Knitwear Design at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Mumbai, with over 20 years of teaching experience. He holds an MBA in Operations Management from the University of Jaipur and has four years of industry experience in the apparel sector before joining NIFT.

Sayandeep Debnath is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Textile Design at the National Institute of Fashion Technology, Mumbai. He has more than thirteen years of experience across teaching, industry, and academic research. He has a B.Tech. in textile engineering and an M.Tech. in the chemical processing of textiles.

Rashmi Gulati, Associate Professor at Department of Design Space with over 26 years of experience in design education, research and professional practice. She joined NIFT in October 1995. She teaches undergraduate and Post graduate courses and is the Chairperson of the Department of Design Space, leading the Master of Design programme at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT). She holds a PhD in Management, and her doctoral research developed a sustainable framework for the arts and crafts sector in Mumbai.

Mr. Sandeep Chandrakant Kidile is an Associate Professor in the Department of Textile Design at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Mumbai, India. With extensive experience in textile design education, research, and craft development, his work is dedicated to promoting sustainable practices through the integration of traditional knowledge and contemporary design approaches.
