ABOUT CONFERENCE

Situated in the picturesque Kangra valley, overlooking the beautiful Dhauladhar Himalayan Ranges, Kangra Centre started its journey in 2009, tracing the vision of NIFT. The center was inaugurated by the Hon'ble Minister of Textiles, Mr. Shankar Singh Waghela, and Hon'ble Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal on 5th August 2009, and has started playing an important role in contributing to various segments of the textile, apparel, lifestyle accessories, and fashion communication industries. Having more than 1200 graduates with high merits and successful placements, NIFT Kangra has provided a firm foundation for academics and overall learning.

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

Abstracts from researchers and students are invited in the form of oral and poster presentations. All those desirous of participating and/or presenting at the conference are requested to complete the online abstract submission by emailing: icon@nift.ac.in. The prescribed format is available on the website www.nift.ac.in/kangra/icon2023.

(Selected full-length paper from ICON 2023 will be published in conference proceedings with ISBN )

SUB-THEMES  

Author(s) Guidelines

• Abstracts with a maximum word limit of 300 (excluding author’s name and keywords) pertaining to any of the aforementioned themes/ sub-themes should be submitted to the email id provided: icon@nift.ac.in
• The paper should include the author's name(s) and affiliation(s) (full address including country).
• All the submissions must be in English and adhere to a maximum word limit of 5000 (excluding the author’s name and keywords)
• The paper should be submitted as a Word file, formatted in Times New Roman, 12pt, single-spaced, and follow the Harvard referencing style
• NIFT Kangra maintains a stringent anti-plagiarism policy and requires authors to guarantee the authenticity of their work
• Every submitted paper will undergo review by the committee.
• Authors of selected abstracts will be communicated via email.

REGISTRATION DETAILS

(All those who wish to attend the Conference in person, have to get themselves registered)

  * Participants from SAARC Countries will be treated at par with Indian participants in terms of registration fees.
 ** NIFT Scholars/faculty. FDDI (Footwear Design & Development Institute) , NID (National Institute of Design), IIFT (Indian    Institute of Foreign Trade), IIP (Indian Institute of Packaging) are exempted from conference fee.
*** 50% discount for NIFT Alumni.
