During the course students are involved in a significant number of learning activities, workshops and projects which allow them practical exposure as per the curriculum as well as students’ respective interest.

"NIFT Kolkata has assisted the Malda District Administration with the design development of an associated logo for filing of GI registration with respect to Malda Silk Yarn of West Bengal. As per the brief received from the honorable District Magistrate of Malda, a design competition was conducted amongst all students of NIFT Kolkata. Out of several entries received, the logo designed by Ms. Tanisha Roy, Semester -VIII student of Textile Design, was finally selected and submitted for GI filing. Indeed, we are proud of Ms. Tanisha and other students who were accredited with certificates and cash awards during a falicitation programme held on 11th of May 2022 by Ms. V. Lalithalaxmi, IAS, Director, NIFT Kolkata in presence of the honourable DM, Malda in online mode." |
