Before joining NIFT, Dr. Ram Awtar Yadav worked as an Assistant Professor with the Faculty of Journalism and Creative Studies, Jagran Lakecity University, Bhopal (M.P.). He obtained Ph.D. from the Department of Communication, University of Hyderabad in the year 2021. He did his masters in electronic media from Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication, Bhopal in the year 2011 after which he worked as a journalist with the The Hitavada an English daily of Bhopal for around four years. He also worked as an assistant professor at the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Guru Ghasidas University, Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh before embarking on his doctoral journey. He has several publications in the form of research papers, commentaries and book chapters to his credit. He has presented papers at various national and international conferences. He has also co-authored a book titled ‘Environmental Communication and Water Management in India’ published by Routledge in May’ 2023.
