NIFT Srinagar started its academic journey in 2016 from temporary campus at Rangreth, Srinagar by offering  UG Programmes (B.Des in Fashion Design and Fashion Communication). The Campus has been now made fully functional from its permanent location at Ompora, Budgam, J&K with state of the art-facilities. The sprawling Campus on an area of 16.5 acres houses Academic Block, Administrative Block, Auditorium, Residential quarters, Amphitheater, Sport Fields, Gymnasium, Canteen etc. At present Campus is offering 4 UG/B Des programs (Fashion Communication, Fashion Designing, Fashion & Life Style Accessory, Textile Design) and Masters in Fashion Management. NIFT Srinagar is also providing consultancy services to J&K Government & Ladakh Govt for revival, promotion and branding of the handloom and handicrafts.
