Ms. Anjumani Boro is an Assistant Professor of Textile Design with a specialisation in weaving prints and surface techniques and design. She joined the campus in 2022 and has been actively involved in teaching undergraduate courses focused on basic weave structures, Deepening specialisation in textile design in terms of prints, weave, and creative surface development. Her teaching approach combines technical knowledge with hands-on experimentation, students explore the artistic and functional possibilities of textiles. Before entering academia, Ms. Anjumani Boro worked as a textile designer in both domestic and export-oriented textile industries. Her professional experience has provided her with valuable insights into design processes, material innovation, and industry practices, which she integrates into her classroom teaching. She is committed to nurturing creativity, craftsmanship, and a strong understanding of traditional as well as contemporary textile techniques among her students. Ms. Anjumani Boro has a deep interest in working with textile materials, particularly yarns and fabrics, and enjoys exploring their textures, structures, and design potential through weaving and surface manipulation. Her passion for textiles is reflected in both her teaching and creative practice, where she continually seeks to bridge artisanal knowledge with modern design approaches. Beyond her professional pursuits, she enjoys listening to soft music, which inspires relaxation and creativity. She believes that a balance of artistic expression, continuous learning, and thoughtful design is essential for creating meaningful and innovative textile experiences.
