No. Candidates must download their scorecard from the NTA portal. NIFT and NTA do not send individual rank information via email, SMS, or post.

Stage–2 consists of a Personal Interview conducted by NTA.

The National Institute of Fashion Technology Entrance Examination (NIFTEE) 2026 is a national-level test conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission into all UG, PG, Ph.D. and special category programs of the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) for the 2026–27 academic session for B.Des., B.F.Tech., NLEA (Lateral Entry) for UG, M.Des., M.F.M., M.F.Tech., Artisans Category, International/NRI category, and Ph.D. programs.

NTA conducts the entrance exam, displays answer key, processes challenges, and declares results.

Candidates must apply only through online mode on the official NTA Examination portal: https://exams.nta.nic.in/niftee/

No printed/offline form is available. Before filling the online form, candidates must carefully read the entire Information Bulletin, ensure eligibility for their chosen program, prepare documents in prescribed format, register with an email ID and mobile number, fill personal and academic details, upload required documents, and pay the exam fee online. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.

Candidates must keep the following documents ready: (i) Valid mobile number and email address (ii) Updated Aadhaar card, (iii) Recent passport-size photograph (80% image with full face visible, white background), (iv) Clear signature, (v) Category certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS) in prescribed format (wherever applicable) (vi) PwD/UDID card (if applicable), (vii) Class 10 and 12 marksheets and certificates, (viii) Degree marksheets/certificates (for PG/Ph.D.), (ix) Diploma certificate for NLEA, (x) Valid passport and foreign residency proof for NRI/Foreign Nationals, (xi) Artisan Card for Artisans category, and (xii) Research Proposal for Ph.D. applicants. All documents must be valid and legible.

Photograph: A recent colour photograph (JPG format, size 10 - 200Kb) in which face shall occupy 80% of the image, with full face (without mask), both ears clearly visible against white background.
Signature: JPG/JPEG format, 10–30 KB, scanned clearly, must match the signature made on exam day. Blurred or unclear images may result in rejection of application.

Yes. NTA uses Aadhaar-based e-KYC to automatically verify the candidate’s demographic details such as Name, Gender, Date of Birth, and Address. Candidates are advised to ensure that their Aadhaar details are updated as per UIDAI norms before applying.

A correction window will be opened after the closure of the application process. During this period, candidates will be allowed to correct certain fields such as images, educational information, and exam city choices. Once the correction window closes, no changes will be entertained through email or requests.

Yes. International applicants (NRI, OCI, PIO, SAARC, and other Foreign Nationals) can apply under the International Admissions category. They must submit a valid passport, proof of foreign residency, AIU equivalence certificate (if prior education is from outside India), and valid SAT/GMAT/GRE score. They are not required to appear for GAT or CAT, and admission will be finalized by NIFT based on test scores and portfolio assessment.

Yes. NTA provides 05 separate forms, each meant for a different admission category: (1) Common UG/PG Form, (2) NLEA-UG (Lateral Entry) Form, (3) Artisans Category Form, (4) NRI/Foreign Nationals/OCI/PIO/SAARC Form, and (5) Ph.D. Form.

Candidates must select the correct form based on their eligibility and program requirement.
