Ms. Bharti Pahuja is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Textile Design at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Panchkula. She specializes in Textile Wet Processing, Textile Finishing, Fibre Science, Textile Testing, Textile Technology, Natural Dyeing and Eco-printing, and Textile Craft Studies, and brings over 11 years of academic experience. She holds an M.Tech in Fibres and Textile Processing Technology from the Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), Mumbai, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in natural coloration and printing of textiles, focusing on sustainable textile processing and the documentation of eco-printing practices in India.

She qualified the UGC-NET and GATE examinations and was a university topper during her undergraduate studies. Her research focuses on sustainable textile processing, natural dyeing, eco-printing, textile finishing technologies, and textile craft studies. She published research in academic and industry journals, co-authored two book chapters and presented papers at national conferences on sustainable textiles, indigenous fibres, eco-printing, and circular design.

She also undertook a project on promoting textile craft-based products through e-commerce platforms. Beyond teaching and research, Ms. Pahuja actively contributes to academic administration and student development. She serves as the Centre Coordinator of the Textile Design Department and also as the ESSE Club Advisor, and actively participates in organizing institute events such as Converge and Spectrum. She previously served as the UI ERP at NIFT Panchkula from 2020 to 2023.
