Panchkula CampusDr. Deep Sagar Verma is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Fashion Management Studies at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Panchkula. He has over seventeen years of academic, teaching, and administrative experience in fashion management and business education. His expertise spans digital transformation, artificial intelligence, marketing analytics, consumer behaviour, entrepreneurship, and the Metaverse. He teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses while actively contributing to curriculum development, academic leadership, and industry engagement. His research focuses on the intersection of fashion, emerging technologies, and digital innovation, with particular emphasis on the Metaverse, generative AI, blockchain, and immersive consumer experiences.
He completed his PhD on "Disrupting Fashion in the Metaverse: Business Opportunities and Challenges in the Age of Digitalization." He is the author of The Fashion Metaverse: A Digital Renaissance. His research has been published in leading international journals, including Technological Forecasting and Social Change and the International Journal of Information Management. He regularly presents at international conferences and collaborates with academic and industry partners on technology-driven fashion research. Dr. Verma actively mentors students, conducts faculty development programmes, and delivers invited talks on AI and digital innovation. He enjoys exploring emerging technologies, creating digital content, and promoting interdisciplinary collaborations that connect academia, industry, and society.
