Dr. Anannya Deb Roy, Associate Professor, started his academic journey in NIFT from FMS, NIFT, Delhi in 2008 and currently attached with FMS,NIFT, Kolkata. He is a MBA in Marketing and Ph.D in Management from the University of Calcutta.

He is a National Level Resource Person and Recognized Trainer (RT) recognized and certified by Department of Personnel and Training(DoPT), GOI, conducts ToT on “Experiential Learning Tools” for government administrative officers across different Administrative Training Institutes and National Academy for Training and Research, New Delhi.

He has guided Ph.D scholars who have successfully completed their Ph.D from the University of Calcutta and NIFT,Delhi in the field of fashion and handicrafts.

He has research publications in international journals and book chapters on both objectivist and constructivist research, published by Emerald publication and Taylor and Francis group.

He teaches “Business research”, “Design and innovation” to the Master of Fashion Management students and “Research paradigms” to the Ph.D scholars.

His research interest is in the field of social constructionism around the life journey of the creative individuals and the practice of creativity and craft.
