Dr.G.Sai Sangurai , Associate Professor holding a post of Centre Coordinator, Department of Fashion Design and an additional in-charge of Girls Hostel at NIFT, Chennai. She completed her Bachelors and Masters in Textile Technology from AC Tech, Anna University, Chennai. Alos she pursued a Doctorate from Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum. She is associated with NIFT from the year 2025.

She has published and presented research papers in several National and International conferences based on her research in the field of Textile-Woven, Knitted and Non-woven. Through her academic commitments, coordinated with the state government officials and industry professionals for several projects like Graduation projects, fashion shows, internships and placements. Also, she is undertaking several responsibilities towards the cluster activities. Dr.G.Sai Sangurai is very active in the workshops which are related to Design, Weaving, Knitting, Natural dyeing, Printing, Macrame and Crochet, meeting with the artisans at the cluster places and providing them with continuous support wherever is needed.
