Dr. Indranil Saha is an Assistant Professor in Fashion Management Studies at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Kolkata. He is currently serving as the campus UI-ERP. He has more than eleven years of academic and professional experience across fashion, design, technology, and management education.
His research focuses on consumer behaviour and cultural contexts, technology-enabled fashion innovation, sustainable fashion, and emerging consumer trends. His work includes research on 3D-printed fashion products, androgynous fashion, luxury bridal wear, visual aesthetics and perceived quality, textile crafts and wellbeing, and ethical consumption. He has published multiple Scopus-indexed academic research articles and actively explores interdisciplinary approaches integrating design, psychology, technology, and management. He also mentors students and contributes to curriculum development and research-oriented teaching.
Dr. Saha teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Fashion Basics, Self & Society, Luxury Fashion Business, Data Analytics, Organizational Behaviour, and Research Methods. He is interested in Tagore songs and Indian classical music, the Shankar technique of New Age dance, interdisciplinary research, creative thinking, emerging technologies, and contemporary fashion cultures. He actively engages with students through mentoring, industry-oriented activities, and research guidance.
