Dr. Kaustav SenGupta is a futurist, colour bio-behaviour expert, Gen AI expert, forecaster, brand strategist and design educator with over 25 years of experience across industry, academia and government. He currently serves as an Associate Professor at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) and leads the VisioNxt Trend Insights & Forecasting Lab** as Head, Principal Investigator and Foresight Research Lead, integrating artificial intelligence, emotional intelligence, colour psychology, consumer culture and strategic foresight to interpret emerging social, cultural, psychological and bio-behavioural shifts and translate them into trend forecasts and future-facing design strategies.

His professional and research engagements include work with leading national and international brands and organisations such as Nippon Paint, Nike, Nokia, Hyundai, Kia Motors, Coca-Cola, Apple, Sony, Vodafone, Titan, Lenovo etc.. He also serves as a Board of Studies member and academic advisor across universities and design institutions and has previously held academic leadership positions at NIFT, including Centre Coordinator and Link Chairperson. He holds a PhD, focused on Indian youth, colour preference, colour-emotion and colour-image associations, and completed a Postgraduate Programme in AI and Machine Learning through the University of Texas at Austin/Great Learning, with distinction.
