Dr Pavol Sahadevan is an Assistant Professor of Fashion Management Studies at the National Institute of Fashion Technology, Kannur, where she teaches design and management courses to postgraduate and undergraduate students. With over twelve years of combined teaching and industry experience, she specialises in sustainable entrepreneurship, fashion sustainability, and consumer behaviour, bringing a practitioner's perspective drawn from her earlier merchandising roles with brands such as Avery Dennison, where she worked with clients including Mothercare, Walmart, and Disney.
Her research centres on sustainable consumption behaviours, ethical consumerism, and sustainable business models in the fashion industry. She has authored multiple UGC-CARE, peer-reviewed, and Springer publications and has presented her work at national and international forums, including the 49th Macromarketing Conference at the University of Helsinki, Finland, and SIMIRCON 2023 in Bengaluru, where she received the Best Paper award. She guides master's dissertations on topics spanning consumer behaviour, crafts, e-commerce, and retail. Beyond academics, Dr Pavol coordinates student activities at NIFT Kannur as SDAC, organising regional, inter-campus events, sustainability awareness initiatives and blood donation drives. She is UGC-NET qualified and holds a PhD in Management Science, reflecting her strong academic foundation and research expertise.
