Gandhinagar CampusDr. Raj Kumar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Fashion Management Studies at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Gandhinagar. He specializes in Marketing Management, Digital Marketing, Consumer Behaviour, Brand Management, Sales Management, and Fashion Business. With over fourteen years of academic, research, and industry experience, he contributes to teaching, curriculum development, mentoring, and institutional activities.
Dr. Kumar’s research interests include sustainable marketing, consumer behaviour, fashion marketing, digital transformation, fashion entrepreneurship, sustainability, branding, and innovation. His early research focused on rural marketing and biogas technology, including studies on biogas adoption, market potential, and sustainable energy solutions. His portfolio includes a Scopus and UGC-CARE indexed publication on domestic biogas digesters in Muzaffarpur. His research subsequently expanded to emerging fashion and digital technologies, including NFTs, 4D printing, and the metaverse. His recent work examines consumer preferences for Indian and international fashion brands, specialized garment storage services using SERVQUAL, and digital visibility and design intelligence for sustaining Lucknow Zardozi. He also holds a registered copyright for the Integrated Approach Marketing Model for Green Energy and Organic Farming.
He contributes to conferences, entrepreneurship, innovation, and professional development programmes, while mentoring students and exploring sustainable, technology-enabled opportunities in fashion and creative industries.
