She is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Knitwear Design Department of NIFT Bhopal. The faculty member completed her PhD in the field of technical textiles with the thesis title “ Characterization & Modification Of Thermal Layer Of Fire Retardant Suits”. Her M.Tech was completed in 2015 from the Fiber Science Department of IIT Delhi. She completed her B.Tech in Man-Made Fiber Technology from UPTTI Kanpur in 2012.

Her main research areas are natural fibre extraction processes, FR clothing, and Regenerated fibres. Faculty is awarded a patent for “Method Of Manufacturing Thermal Barrier Or Liner Using Roving Woven Material” and “A Process For Fiber Extraction From Pine Needles (Perul)”.She has more than 5 research papers and more than 5 conference papers.

She worked on several government-funded projects. One of the key projects undertaken was “Development of value-added product from Himalayan fibres sponsored by the Ministry of Textiles. Another important project was “Development of regenerated bamboo fibre from Indian bamboo sponsored by the Ministry of Agriculture”. Another important project was “Development of indigenous fire-retardant suit sponsored by the Ministry of Textiles”. Other then this 6 other government-funded projects were carried out by her.

Her key interests are in natural fibers and sustainable textiles.
