About

Dr. Usha Yadav is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Fashion Communication and serve as Unit Incharge (UI) – ERP at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Bengaluru. She specializes in Emerging Digital Technologies, with expertise spanning UI/UX Design, Information Architecture, Web Design, Augmented and Virtual Reality (AR/VR), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Data Analytics. With over fifteen years of experience in higher education, she brings together interdisciplinary expertise in design, technology, and research to create industry-relevant and future-focused learning experiences. She joined NIFT in October 2018 and has contributed extensively to curriculum development, academic administration, research, and interdisciplinary collaborations. She received her Ph.D in 2021, M.Tech in 2011 and B.E. in 2009.

Dr. Yadav's research interests lie at the intersection of immersive technologies, sustainability, digital transformation, consumer behaviour, and design innovation. She has published extensively in Scopus-indexed journals, international conferences, and edited books with leading publishers. Her research received international recognition, including the Best Paper Award at the International Conference on Business and Technology (ICBT), Cardiff University, United Kingdom (UK).
