Ms. Kanu Priya is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Fashion Technology at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Panchkula. She has over 13 years of teaching experience in higher education and has been associated with NIFT since 2020. Prior to joining NIFT, she served as an Assistant Professor at the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Kurukshetra. She holds a B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering and an M.Tech in Software Engineering. Her teaching areas include web technologies, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), database management systems, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), and data management applications for the fashion industry. Her research interests focus on the application of Artificial Intelligence in fashion, design education, educational technologies, and digital systems. She has published research papers, and technical articles in these areas and has contributed to interdisciplinary research on emerging technologies. She holds a granted patent and has filed multiple patents related to technology-enabled innovations. She also actively participates in faculty development programmes, conferences, and academic collaborations. At NIFT, Ms. Kanu Priya serves as the UI-ERP, in addition to her responsibilities as IT Head and Webmaster, and has contributed to several institutional committees. She enjoys mentoring students, integrating technology into teaching and learning, and exploring innovative digital solutions for fashion and design education.
