Mr. Abhishek Sharma is an Associate Professor in the Department of Fashion & Lifestyle Accessories at NIFT Gandhinagar. He specialises in the design and development of luxury products, lifestyle accessories, precious jewellery, fashion jewellery, decor and craft-based accessories. He brings several years of diverse industry experience to academia, having worked across a wide spectrum of domains in the design sector at various levels before transitioning into his academic career.

His primary research interests centre on contemporary jewellery and the application of unconventional materials in accessory design. He focuses on building emotive connections and conceptual experiences through application of design process, and he is currently pursuing his PhD in Design to further explore these areas. Beyond classroom teaching, Mr. Sharma routinely curates academic and design exhibitions on campus, including costume jewellery showcases, design project exhibits, and occasional displays. Additionally, he diligently contributes to the Accessory Design curriculum development and its strategic implementation while actively maintaining strong industry-academia interactions.

Beyond his core academic and research responsibilities, Mr. Abhishek Sharma is deeply committed to student mentorship. He actively guides young, vibrant designers throughout their creative journeys, helping them enhance their learning potential and achieve long-term professional success.
