Mr. Ashwini Kumar is an assistant professor in the Department of Fashion Communication at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Patna. A UGC-NET-qualified academician, he possesses over a decade of professional experience spanning higher education, creative industries, and interdisciplinary research. His areas of specialization include advanced fashion illustration, branding and promotion, motion graphics, 2D-3D animation, publication design, films, and communication research. His teaching philosophy integrates design innovation with critical inquiry, fostering creative and research-oriented learning environments. Since joining NIFT in 2022, Mr. Kumar has actively contributed to academic excellence through teaching, curriculum development, institutional initiatives, and creative projects.

Prior to his appointment at NIFT, he served in academic and creative capacities at prestigious institutions, including the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), the International School of Business and Media (ISB&M), and the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad. Beyond academia, Mr. Kumar has developed high-quality digital educational content for nationally significant initiatives and organizations, including the Ministry of Human Resource Development's ePG Pathshala program, Odisha State Open University, Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation Limited (MS-CIT), and NTPC.
