Mr. Bikas Agrawal is an Associate Professor in the Department of Fashion Technology, NIFT Kolkata. Aligning with his Masters’ degree in Fashion Technology, he teaches Garment manufacturing related subjects like Industrial Engineering, Costing in Apparel Industry, Lean Management, Sustainability, Garment production Machineries etc. He joined NIFT as a faculty member in 2005 and he has also served as the Centre Coordinator of BFT from 2014-2017, Link RIC from 2020-2023 and currently is the RIC.
He has published 10 academic papers in various journals along with one book chapter titled “Technological advancements in Garment Manufacturing” in the Inter disciplinary research and innovation, published by JPS scientific publication, India.
He has completed his certification in “Leadership skills” in online mode from IIM Ahmedabad and from IIT Kanpur he has acquired a certificate on “Developing Soft Skills and personality.”
He takes a keen interest in enhancing the inter personal skills of the students. Also, he guides the students in choosing careers after their Graduation. His hobby is writing blogs in Hindi and English, particularly about the places he visits.
