Kumar Sudeepta is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Fashion and Lifestyle Accessories at NIFT Mumbai. He holds a Bachelor of Design in Accessory Design and a Master of Design in Mobility and Vehicle Design. His expertise lies in consumer-centric product and mobility design, with experience across lifestyle products and spaces, automotive interiors, accessory design, and mobility design.

He joined NIFT in 2014 and has previously served as the Centre Coordinator of the Department of Fashion and Lifestyle Accessories from 2017 to 2020. He subsequently served as the Regional Industry Coordinator for NIFT Mumbai from 2021 to 2025.
With over fourteen years of combined experience in academia and industry, his work spans product styling, mobility design, consumer products, new product development, materials, and emerging manufacturing processes. His research interests focus on innovative product development and product packaging design in the domains of lifestyle products, accessories, and living spaces. Through an interdisciplinary approach to design and connected product development, he strives to foster collaboration and systems thinking in design interventions.

He believes that healthy collaboration and strong teamwork are the foundation of better design—and ultimately, a better quality of life for communities. A passionate traveller and motorsports enthusiast, he believes that every experience should contribute to personal growth or enhance one's professional practice.
