Mr. Manish Bhargava is an Associate Professor in the Department of Textile Design at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT). He serves as Campus Coordinator and acts as Advisor to NIFT Daman. Specializing in textile processing, fibre technology, and textile chemistry, he brings extensive technical and academic expertise to design education. He completed his B.Tech. in Textile Chemistry from Rajasthan University in 1997 and earned his M.Sc. (Tech) in Technology of Fibres and Textile Processing from the University Department of Chemical Technology, Mumbai, in 2000.
His primary research interests center on advanced textile chemistry and functional wet processing. He executed key uniform design projects for major organizations, including the Maharashtra Forest Department, Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), and Gujarat Police (SAF). His technical background enables him to bridge core chemical processing with modern creative textile design, delivering specialized functional garment solutions.
In addition to his administrative leadership and academic responsibilities, Mr. Bhargava actively mentors students in design-led technical innovations and sustainable material practices. He participates in institution-building initiatives, academic outreach, and industry engagement programs to foster holistic learning and community development across NIFT campuses.
