Pratik Ghosh is an Assistant Professor in the Fashion Management Studies Department at NIFT Bengaluru, where he has been serving since 2014. He is a NIFT MFM alumnus and holds a bachelor’s (honours) degree in Biotechnology, supported by 4.5 years of industry experience with Alok Industries, Tesco and Max Fashions in merchandising and retail planning, visual merchandising and corporate marketing. His teaching expertise includes fashion retail and brand management, digital and social media marketing, e-commerce, buying and planning, and customer experience management.

He is currently completing his PhD in digital content marketing, with research interests spanning fashion retail, digital marketing and consumer behaviour across online and offline channels. He has contributed to consultancy and industry-linked initiatives with organisations such as Myntra Fashion Incubator, Max Fashions, Modenik and Tata Trent through management development and collaborative projects, with a focus on integrating contemporary retail operations and practices into management education.

Alongside his teaching responsibilities, he has held several coordination and linkage roles at NIFT Bengaluru, including CE Programme Coordinator, Regional Industry Coordinator, and Coordinator – International and Domestic Linkages, as well as Nodal Officer for key international institutional partnerships. He is actively involved in curriculum development, case-based teaching in fashion and retail management, and mentoring students for industry-orientated projects, strengthening industry–academia collaboration and student exposure.
