Present: Mr Sumit Kumar is an Assistant Professor with the department of Fashion Technology and specialises in quality control and assurance, social compliance and technical audits, operations management, and textile science areas. He teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
Past: He joined the National Institute of Fashion Technology, Bhubaneswar, in 2014. He previously served as centre coordinator for the foundation programme from 2016 to 2019, UI ERP from 2021 to 2024, and centre coordination BFT from January 2026 to October 2026. He got transferred to the Kangra campus in October 2026.
