Vimal Singh is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Fashion Technology at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Mumbai. He holds a Master's degree in Fashion Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Textile Technology. He has expertise in apparel manufacturing, lean manufacturing systems, and production process optimization, with significant industry experience in formal and casual suit manufacturing.
His research interests focus on artificial intelligence in apparel manufacturing, smart factories, Industry 4.0, agile production systems, and lean manufacturing. He is particularly interested in applying lean tools such as 5S, Kanban, and Machine Asset Care (MAC) to improve manufacturing efficiency, productivity, and quality.
