Niveathitha S serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Fashion Design, where she specializes in fashion styling, Fashion history, costume studies, art and design aesthetics, Digital design and traditional textiles. She holds a Master's degree in Design from NIFT Mumbai and earned her Bachelor's degree in Fashion Technology under Anna University. As a passionate academician with over eight years of experience in higher education, she actively contributes to student learning and curriculum delivery across her core areas of expertise.
Her current research focuses on handlooms and sustainable fashion practices. Over the course of her academic career, Niveathitha authored multiple book chapters and research articles indexed in Scopus, and presented her research on fashion trend forecasting and traditional textiles at both national and international conferences.
In addition to her core academic duties, Niveathitha actively engages in exploring historical textiles and mentoring students through hands-on styling.
