Ms. Prachi Bajaj is an Assistant Professor in the Knitwear Design Department at NIFT, with over eight years of industry experience spanning export, retail, and multinational organizations before transitioning to academia in 2013.

With 13 years of experience in fashion education, she has undertaken several academic and administrative responsibilities, including serving as the Link Centre Coordinator for the Foundation Department and the Centre Coordinator for the Knitwear Design Department. Her academic and professional experience reflects a strong intersection of industry practice, design education, and interdisciplinary thinking.

Her key areas of teaching include Design Process, Trend Analysis and Forecasting, Portfolio Development, Fashion Illustration, Lingerie Design and Fashion Styling.

Her areas of interest include Sustainable Design, Fashion and Culture, and Clothing Psychology, with a particular interest in exploring the relationship between design, society, sustainability, and human behavior.

Beyond academics and design, she enjoys yoga and travelling, which contribute to her continued interest in holistic well-being, exploration, and new perspectives.
