Shiny Bhanoi is an Assistant Professor at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Kangra, and specializes in fashion styling and retail buying. She teaches undergraduate students in the Fashion Design programme and brings together her academic background in design and management with professional experience in the fashion and retail industry.

Her academic interests include fashion styling, consumer trends, retail buying, product development, and the relationship between design and fashion business. She integrates industry practices and market insights into her teaching to help students understand the commercial aspects of fashion alongside the creative design process.

Before joining NIFT in 2022, she worked in buying, design, and styling roles with organizations including Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail, Koovs, Blue Saint and Arvind Mills. She holds a Master’s Degree in Fashion Management from NIFT Delhi and a Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design from NIFT Kangra. She is also interested in student mentoring, trend analysis, and practice-based learning.
