Hyderabad CampusT. Srivani has been teaching at NIFT for the past 21 years and has an overall work experience of 27 years. She coordinated Foundation Programme about 7.5 years at various levels. She teaches Textile Science, Wet Processing, Draping, Pattern Making and Garment Construction, Traditional Textiles, Crafts, Surface Design and Creative Material Exploration for UG and PG levels across various disciplines of NIFT. She mentored various student internships, research projects, developed curriculum, offered Faculty Training and taken up Inter Centre Teaching. She has undergone SFRF at IIT, Delhi and Faculty Industry Attachment at Raymonds, Brandix and Shahi Exports.
Srivani played a significant role in registering the Craft “Machilipatnam Kalamkari” under Geographical Indications as a part of IPR initiative. She has coordinated skill-up gradation and Garment making projects for Govt. and NGOs through NIFT, Natural Dyeing Workshops for KVIC and Bandhani Craftsmen at NID. She has attended several conferences, presented papers and worked with Research Associations. Life member of TAI & HSAI. Visited CISMA 2017 held at Shanghai, China and Presented her research at Otago Museum, Dunedin, New zealand organised by IFFTI, Representing NIFT, India.
