National Institute of Fashion Technology announces a call for research articles for the third volume of the 'NIFT Journal of Fashion'. Each volume of the annual peer reviewed open access research journal has a definite theme of wide-ranging significance on different aspects of fashion with critical thinking on multiple perspectives of relevance to the wider academia and fashion industry.

Theme: The Evolving Landscape of Fashion Education: Innovation and Adaptation

The theme ‘The Evolving Landscape of Fashion Education: Innovation and Adaptation’ that explores emerging trends in training and learning fashion, re-thinking educational models, pedagogical approaches, and best practices. We welcome articles that focus on fostering innovation and creativity, integrating sustainability, strengthening industry collaboration, adapting to digital transformation and inter-disciplinary learning in an endeavor to align with industry needs, and address social and environmental concerns. The contributions can address (but are not limited to) one or more of the following sub-themes:

  • Future skills for fashion education
  • Application of technology for product innovation
  • Impact of Artificial Intelligence on learning and education
  • Fashion technology integration
  • Education for sustainable development and ethical practices
  • Diversity and inclusivity in fashion education
  • Social impact case-studies and projects
  • Global perspective: Cross-cultural learning and partnering with international institutes
  • Unconventional methods of evaluation and assessment
  • Co-creation and collaboration with industry and other stakeholders
  • Interdisciplinary approaches to design and innovation
  • E-learning platforms and interactive learning experience
  • Outreach programmes in fashion and design

The research article, complete in all respects and formatted according to the author guidelines should be submitted via email at editor.njf@nift.ac.in by 10th November 2023.
