Abhishek Chowbey graduated from NIFT Mumbai in 2016 with a B.F.Tech in Apparel Production and wasted no time going global. His career began in Jordan and Bahrain, managing international buyers and production floors for global brands, before returning to India to work across some of fashion's most recognizable names: Bewakoof (e-com), Arvind Lifestyle, and Pantaloons (ABFRL).
What set Abhishek apart was an innate curiosity about the data behind decisions. He consistently built systems where none existed, automated MIS, procurement intelligence tools, and demand tracking frameworks, well before "digital transformation" became a buzzword.
Determined to sharpen his strategic edge, he pursued the Young Leaders Programme at IIM Bangalore followed by MBA at IIM Kozhikode in 2021, and joined the Aditya Birla Group's Sustainability Cell, where he now manages enterprise-scale platforms, builds AI-powered analytics tools, and translates complex sustainability and market data into actionable leadership insight across 20+ businesses.
In 2025, he received the ABG Chairman's Award – Distinguished Achiever, the highest individual recognition in the Group.
His story is a reminder that NIFT doesn't just teach fashion, it teaches the discipline to build things that work.
