Dr. Abhinav Garg is an Associate Professor in the Department of Fashion Communication at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Panchkula. With over 20 years of professional and academic experience, he specializes in computer engineering, information technology, digital design, and design education. He holds a B.Tech. in Computer Engineering from Uttar Pradesh Technical University, an M.Tech. in Information Technology from IIIT Bangalore, and a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Banasthali Vidyapith. Prior to joining NIFT, he worked as a Software Engineer at ABB and as a Patent Analyst at CPA Global. At NIFT, he teaches courses in digital design tools, emerging technologies, Intellectual Property Rights, and Professional Ethics. Dr. Garg's research interests include artificial intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), wireless sensor networks, smart systems, and technology-enabled design innovation.

He has published several papers in Scopus-indexed international journals, holds two copyrights, and has presented research at national and international conferences on AI, IoT, wearable technologies, cloud computing, and digital transformation in fashion and design education. Beyond teaching and research, Dr. Garg actively contributes to academic administration, curriculum development, and student mentoring. He is committed to integrating emerging technologies into design education and fostering interdisciplinary learning that bridges engineering, technology, and creative practice.
