Dr. Mohd. Vaseem is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Fashion Technology at the National Institute of Fashion Technology, Panchkula. He joined NIFT in 2021. Prior to joining NIFT, he worked on the World Bank funded Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme TEQIP III. He teaches Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics using R, and Geometry for 3D applications. He received his Ph.D. in Industrial and Management Engineering from the IIT Kanpur and M.Tech. in Industrial Engineering from the IIT Delhi. His expertise focuses on optimization, analytics, and digital transformation for manufacturing and fashion systems. His research interests include supply chain optimization, operations research, artificial intelligence, and sustainable manufacturing.

He has published research in leading Q1 and ABDC Category A international journals, authored one book and one book chapter, and holds two granted Indian patents and two published patent applications. He is a three time Best Paper Award recipient. Beyond teaching and research, Dr. Vaseem mentors student projects, contributes to curriculum development, and promotes industry academia collaboration through workshops, expert lectures, and industrial visits. He is committed to integrating emerging technologies into fashion education and fostering innovation and analytical thinking among future fashion professionals.
