Mr Jasheer Shihab T V is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Fashion Communication at NIFT Patna. He specialises in Computer Science and Engineering and is currently pursuing a PhD in Reinforcement Learning at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Calicut. He joined NIFT in 2022, driven by his passion for teaching and technology. He received his M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering with a specialisation in Information Security and his B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering. At NIFT, he teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including AI/ML in Fashion Business, Fashion Data Analytics, Data Visualisation and Power BI, Operations Research, Interface Design, and Research Methodology. Mr Jasheer's research interests include Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning, the Internet of Things (IoT), Data Analytics, Cryptography, and Data Structures and Algorithms.

His doctoral research focuses on Reinforcement Learning. Before joining NIFT, he began his academic career as one of the TEQIP-III faculty members recruited to strengthen the quality of technical education in backward states of India. He served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Islamic University of Science and Technology, Jammu and Kashmir. Beyond his academic and research pursuits, Mr Jasheer is passionate about mentoring students and fostering interdisciplinary learning by integrating emerging technologies with design and fashion education. He encourages innovation, analytical thinking, and research-oriented learning among students. His personal interests include reading and travelling, which broaden his perspectives and support his commitment to lifelong learning and professional development.
