Nilima is an Associate Professor with the Department of Fashion
Technology, NIFT, Patna. She has been with the Institute since 2009.
She had worked in the Kolkata campus and is currently posted at NIFT
Patna. Ms. Topno is currently pursued a PhD from IIT Kanpur on
Development of Flexible Fabric for Smart Camouflage for Military
Personnel. With a strong academic career, she also has gained vast
Industry experience by working in esteemed production houses,
Triburg Sportswear and TMS, Indonesia and Shahi. In NIFT, she teaches
a wide spectrum of topics from Fashion Orientation, Merchandising,
Sewing Production Machines Equipment, Draping, Geometry to
Research Methodology, Human Resource Management, Managerial
Economics Data Analytics and Susta Moreover, she has published
several papers in National and International Journals. SHe has contributed to setting up the DFT Department in. Patna and was the CC for 2 terms.Nilima is an
avid reader and a great badminton player and believes that life
should be lived with a pinch of salt.
